Optimizing your schedule with smart scheduling
Get the most out of your resources' availability.
Smart scheduling ensures that your schedule is optimized to avoid gaps and maximize the utilization of your resources.
This, by integrating buffer time and flexible scheduling, where the minimum duration is greater than the standard booking duration.
Example scenario:
- Resource: Meeting room available from 8 AM to 6 PM with fixed two-hour slots.
- Setup: Set the standard booking duration to 120 minutes. Initially, the system creates slots at 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM.
When you add a 30-minute buffer time between slots and activate smart scheduling, the system adjusts the available slots to 8 AM, 10:30 AM, 1 PM, 3:30 PM
With smart scheduling inactive, the booking slots remain as initially set. If a booking is made for 10 AM, the 8 AM slot would then be blocked too due to the required 30-minute buffer time, resulting in inefficiencies.
Activate smart scheduling in the Advanced settings of your booking option.
